Tournament winners of the 2026 Vermont Science Olympiad
The Vermont Academy of Arts & Sciences is proud to celebrate the success of the Vermont Science Olympiad, held on Sunday, April 12, at Norwich University. The annual competition brought together talented high school students from across Vermont to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills through a full day of STEM challenges.
As a proud supporter of science education in Vermont, the Vermont Academy of Arts & Sciences was honored to sponsor $1,000 cash prizes for the winning teams. These awards recognize the hard work, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated by students throughout the competition while encouraging the next generation of scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and innovators.
1st Place - $500 Award to Burr and Burton Academy - Team Coach Rebecca Allen
2nd Place - $300 Award to St. Johnsbury Academy - Team Coach John McKinnon
3rd Place - $100 Award to Thetford Academy - Team Coach Rachael Brown
4th Place - $100 Award to People’s Academy - Team Coach Lesley Riffenburg
The Academy extends its sincere congratulations to all of the students who participated, as well as the coaches, teachers, volunteers, parents, and event organizers whose time and dedication made the competition possible. Their commitment helps create meaningful educational experiences that encourage students to pursue lifelong interests in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
